You can use Tunegether without telling us anything

The radio, the search box, the decks and the music maker all work with no account and no sign-in. If you never sign in, we hold no email address for you and nothing that identifies you.

Radio audio never passes through our servers. When you press a station, your browser connects to that broadcaster directly — so we could not log what you listened to even if we wanted to, beyond the fact that a station was pressed.

If you sign in, we hold four things

Your email address. It is how you sign in and the only way we can reach you. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.

Your saved stations. That is the entire reason accounts exist here.

Roughly where you are. Country, and the timezone your device reports — for example America/Chicago. This comes from a setting your browser already publishes. We never ask your browser for a location, and there is no field in our database that could hold one.

What you have played. Station, kind of music, and for how long. It is what would one day let Tunegether suggest something you actually like, and it is what tells us which countries to build for next.

Cookies and what is kept on your device

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics. The site keeps a few things in your browser's own storage: your saved stations, your volume, a cached copy of the station lists so the page paints fast, and — if you have signed in — your session.

Clearing it is one click: the "Forget what's stored" button under the station grid on the home page.

Who else sees it

Our hosting and database provider (Supabase) and our email provider (Resend) process this data on our behalf, under contract, to run the service. Nobody else receives it.

We may one day sell display advertising on this site. If we do, it will be sold against aggregate facts — how many listeners are in a country, what kinds of music are popular there — and not by handing an advertiser anything about an individual. We will not run audio ads inside a stream.

Deleting it

Sign in and open your account. "Download everything" gives you a JSON file of every row we hold about you. "Delete my account" removes all of it immediately — the account, the stations, the listening history — with no retention window and no email to confirm.

If you cannot sign in, write to hello@tunegether.app from the address in question and we will do it for you.

Children

Tunegether is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly hold an account for one.
